Project Icarus was a 2005 scheme organised by Reynholm Industries to improve the efficiency, productivity and revenue of the company, as well as to improve the satisfaction of its many clients. The week-long project was one of the most successful in the company's history, as the business's productivity was increased by 1000% and departments were working at three times their normal speed due to the improved interconnectivity of the computer systems.

Procedure[]

Project Icarus lasted one week in late 2005. Nearly all departments in Reynholm Industries were involved, including the Accounts Department, the IT Department, the lawyers and even the toilet cleaners. However, it was the IT Department that seemed to be the driving force of the project.

As a result of the project, the business's productivity was increased by 1000% and departments were working at three times their normal speed due to the improved interconnectivity of the computer systems. To thank his staff for their outstanding work during the project, Denholm Reynholm, Head of Reynholm Industries, thanked all of his staff except the IT Department, much to their disappointment. Denholm subsequently organised a 'Thank-You Party' for all his staff.
